What is Clutterboard?

Clutterboard is the easiest and fastest way to save and organize anything you find online, and instantly share it with all your friends and family. Clutterboard is a platform that lets you view and access your favorite content anytime and anywhere, saving you time from trying to allocate it and helping you keep it organized.

How do I install and use the Clutter Button?

Installing and using the Clutter Button is the easiest thing! If you weren’t able to install it during the Signup process, simply visit the Applications page in your Settings, and click on the button that corresponds to your browser.

In Safari, an extension file named Clutterboard.safariextz will be saved in your computer’s Downloads folder. Simply double click that file and it will be instantly installed to your Safari browser.

Which browsers support the Clutter Button?

The Clutter Button is currently available for Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
However, if you are using Opera, you can still install and use the Clutter Button by following these 3 simple steps.

How can I set a Reminder?

Setting a Reminder allows you to schedule the exact time and date you wish to read or view your links, so that you don’t have to worry about forgetting. In every Tile or Note, simply click the Options Button and then click on the “Set Reminder” button to select the date and set the time you want to be reminded.

How can I personalize my Clutterboard?

By visiting your Settings, you can start by adding a profile picture if you haven’t done so already, or select the Interest Categories that correspond to your content interests. In Notifications, you can select which notifications you would like to receive in your inbox, and in Privacy you can specify how you would like your links to be saved. Also, you can change the color tonation of your Clutterboard’s background, from lighter to darker by visiting the Board Theme page in your Settings.

Can I save anything I find on the Web? Are there any exceptions?

Yes! You can save any link you find on the web, from videos and articles to infographics and images, or even links with extensions such as .gif and .pdf. So far, we haven’t encountered any exceptions to that rule but if you do, please let us know by reporting it here.

How can I install and use the Clutter Button on Opera?

It's very easy! Google Chrome and Opera have found a way to combine their forces, by ... sharing their extensions.

Here are the steps:

1) Open your Opera browser (or download it by clicking here).
2) Install the Chrome Extension Installer for Opera by clicking here.
3) After having successfully installed the aforementioned extension, click here to add the Clutter Button to your Opera browser, through Chrome's extensions page.

And that's it! Enjoy the Clutterboard experience every where and any time!

Is there any limit to how many links I can save?

No! :) You can save as many links as you like, as long as you can keep yourself organized.

What happens when I am offline?

If you are viewing a website and suddenly go offline before being able to save it via the Clutter Button, Clutterboard will inform you that it was unable to save it. In general, if you are offline, the same rules that apply to every website apply to Clutterboard as well.

How can I create my own Categories?

It’s the easiest thing! While you are in MYCLUTTER, go to the left hand-side and under “MY CATEGORIES” click the folder-with-the-plus-sign icon under the “View All” button, and type in the name you want to give to your Category Folder.

What happens when I delete a category? Do I lose my links?

If you intentionally or unintentionally deleted a category, all your links will be automatically transferred to the “Organize Me” folder. You can create a new Category and simply drag & drop those links, so that you have them organized again under the new Category.

Why do I need to choose Interest Categories during Signup?

Choosing 3 or more Interest Categories during Signup helps you to predefine the Categories that you will most likely need in order to save your favorite content. It also helps Clutterboard offer you more relevant content, so that you don’t have to spend your valuable time looking for it.

What is the “Notes” section in the Tile Options meant for?

The “Notes” section, found in the Tile’s Options dropdown , allows you to keep notes or write down any ideas that you have for every single article, video link, or website that you’ve saved.

For example, you might have saved a very long article that you have only read halfway through, and want to remind your self where you left off reading, to resume later. Or, you can write down the main points of the article.

How do I save links from my smartphone or tablet device?

You can save any link from your smartphone or tablet to your Clutterboard by simply forwarding it either to “public@clutterboard.com” if you want it to be Public for your followers to see, or to “private@clutterboard.com” if you want to keep it Private, just for you.

Is Clutterboard secure?

Yes! Clutterboard follows strict security guidelines to always protect its users, according to the industry’s latest security updates. If you have connected your account with Facebook, Clutterboard will never post anything without your permission. You can read more about our Privacy Policy here.
